This Tour, unique to ECO-TOURS SA, has been designed to give our Guests a scenic and cultural insight into Cape Town and surrounds while experiencing all the major Tourist attractions the Region has to offer. The Tour can be considered an “appetizer” and is ideal for those First Time Visitors to our Country who wish to explore the City and the surrounding Regions, while interacting with local South Africans to get an in-depth understanding of our Country, its Cultures, its Wildlife and our Peoples.

Day 1
Guests arrive at Cape Town International Airport. At the Airport, we meet and greet Guests, introduce to their Tour Guides, before heading to check in at their Hotel. After check-in, we set out on an Orientation Tour of the City, stopping en-route at a Food Court for Guests to enjoy lunch. After lunch, we resume our City Tour. We return to the Hotel late afternoon, to freshen up before proceeding to our Restaurant for Dinner. Guests return to Hotel and are at leisure for the rest of the evening.

DAY 2
We start our Tour today, weather permitting, with a trip up Table Mountain via the spectacular rotating Cable Car. From here, under the guidance of our Local African Tour Guide, we commence our Cultural Township experience, visiting the Cape Flats Townships, where thousands of black and coloured South Africans were displaced during the Apartheid Era. He we get the opportunity to learn about the torrid “past” our Country experienced during the Apartheid Era and to see how these Peoples have made a bright future for themselves. We will visit the District Six Museum as well as other places of interest, while meeting and interacting with these wonderful folk. At lunchtime, we head for Nelson Mandela Gateway in the V & A Waterfront to board a ferry to Robben Island. Whilst waiting for our ferry, Guests will be able to grab a lunch at nearby restaurants. We return to the harbour late afternoon and return to our to hotel to freshen up before proceeding to our Restaurant for Dinner. Guests return to Hotel and are at leisure for the rest of the evening.

DAY 3
We depart Cape Town and head for the Jewel of the Cape, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Here we enjoy a leisurely walk through the Garden, looking out for no less than 8800 Species of indigenous Fynbos Vegetation, Flowers, Plants & Trees and a vast variety of Birds. The Tour then proceeds through the Constantia Wine Valley, to Muizenberg, stopping along the route to enjoy the spectacular scenic sights across the False Bay Coastline, passing through Fish Hoek and then onto Simonstown where we visit the African Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach. The next highlight of our Tour is the Cape Point Nature Reserve and the awesome Cape of Good Hope. Here we get see where the cold Benguela & warm Agulhas Currents allow the Atlantic & Indian Oceans to merge at the South Westernmost Point of Africa. En-route, during the months from July to November, look out for the awesome Southern Right Whales that visit our shores to mate and give birth, before returning to the Antarctic.

On our return journey to the City, weather permitting, we will enjoy a scenic drive over the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive, stopping to overlook the fishing village of Hout Bay, then proceed further along the Atlantic Seaboard, make our way through the “Atlantic Riviera” the awesome 12 Apostles, then past Clifton to Sea Point, ending our Tour in Cape Town. Late afternoon we return to the Hotel to freshen up before proceeding to our Restaurant for Dinner. Guests return to Hotel and are at leisure for the rest of the evening.

DAY 4
Today our Tour takes into the Winelands for a day of wine tasting. We visit at least 3 premier Export Wine Estates in Paarl, Franschoek and Stellenbosch to enjoy cheese & wine tastings, together with a Cellar Tour. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy an optional lunch at one the many restaurants in Franschoek. After exploring the historical village of Stellenbosch, we return to our to hotel to freshen up before proceeding to our Restaurant for Dinner. Guests return to Hotel and are at leisure for the rest of the evening.

DAY 5
Today we head for the Countryside surrounding Cape Town. Our Tour takes over the beautiful Du Toits Kloof Mountain Pass into the fertile Breede River Valley, before heading for the Overberg Region, via Grabouw, the home of the tasty “Granny Smith” Apple. We visit a number of Farm Stalls that sell local produce such as jams, biscuits and souvenirs, before proceeding to the quaint seaside village of Hermanus. In July to November, look out for the huge Southern Right Whales that visit this Coastline. Guests can enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants found here. Mid afternoon we resume our journey to Cape Town via the scenic coastal route, returning to our to hotel to freshen up before proceeding to our Restaurant for Dinner. Guests return to Hotel and are at leisure for the rest of the evening.

DAY 6
Today the pace is a somewhat relaxed. This morning Guests have an opportunity to enjoy a number of “special interest” activities. We offer a Guided City Walk, a Guided Tour of the V & A Waterfront, Bird Watching, Museum Excursions, etc. The balance of the day, Guests spend at leisure, shopping, exploring, etc, before proceeding to the Restaurant for our “farewell” Dinner. Guests return to Hotel and are at leisure for the rest of the evening.

DAY 7
This morning our Guests finalise any shopping, before checking out from their Hotel, prior to their transfer for their return flight home or resuming another Tour.
