3-tägige Naturreise in Kleingruppen
zu den schönsten Wildblumengebieten an der Westküste

During Spring the Cape West Coast explodes into tracts of wild Flowers, a spectacle which Mother Nature only shares with us for a limited period of time. On this Tour we explore the rugged Atlantic Coastline, which is swept by the cold, but nutrient-rich Benguela Current, we visit historical fishing villages and we get to share this Gift of Nature with the Country Folk who have made this arid landscape their Home. The West Coast Region is well known for its diverse ever-changing climate which ranges to the extreme, but at the same time provides us with spectacular scenery, changing the countryside into a pleasure for the eye to behold. For lovers of Nature, you cannot miss this Tour.

PLEASE NOTE
As this type of Tour is heavily dependant on Mother Nature and adverse Sea and Weather conditions, we simply cannot guarantee that we will see all of the Flowers, Whales or other Wild Animals on every Trip.

DAY 1
This morning we travel from Cape Town to Darling, a quaint scenic little village, steeped in history, about 1 Hrs drive from Cape Town. Following a short visit to Evita’s se Perron, famous for their traditional South African Coffee & Melktert, we proceed to the Tienie Versfeld Nature Reserve, where we enjoy a short walk. This 20-Hectare Floral Reserve, particularly noted for its Bulbous Plants of the Gladiolus species, is also home to a most spectacular variety of wild flower annuals. From there we make our way to the West Coast National Park. Here, if Nature permits, together with the awesome floral display, also get the opportunity to see the herds of Antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest Ostrich and other smaller wildlife found in the Postberg Private Nature Reserve. The superb scenery is an ideal setting for a light picnic lunch on the beach. Late afternoon, we visit Langebaan Lagoon, ideal for bird watching and, weather permitting, a “chilly” swim. From here we make our way, via Langebaan and Saldanha Bay to the picturesque fishing village of Paternoster, which, together with its wealth of Seafood and peaceful way of life, make it the ideal place to overnight.
