16-tägige Motorradreise in Kleingruppen von Pretoria über Midlands, St. Lucia, Swaziland, Mozambique, Krüger Park nach Pretoria.

DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN SOUTH AFRICA (0KM)
You will arrive in Johannesburg- from where a Sama representative will fetch you and transfer you to your accommodation in Pretoria. We will hand over the motorcycles during the course of the day and there will be a pre- trip briefing in the evening followed by a delicious dinner.

DAY 2 PRETORIA- GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL PARK (+-300 km)
HIGHLIGHTS: EXPLORING THE MAJESTIC DRAKENSBURG
Depart Pretoria, taking the scenic route via our very own Bethlehem, through “Nouportsnek”- an amazingly beautiful mountain pass famous for long twistys. We will overnight at the foot of the Maluti mountains in the GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL PARK- so named because of the sandstone cliffs that take on a golden glow in the morning or afternoon sun.

DAY 3 GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL PARK TO HOWICK (+- 200km)
HIGHLIGHTS: MEANDERING OUR WAY THROUGH THE NATAL MIDLANDS
Following a scrumptious breakfast, we make our way down into the Natal Midlands. Our route will meander through farmlands, craft shops, breweries and art galleries. The scenery is spectacular, the air is fresh and wholesome and the food is a delicacy to the tongue. Here you will have the opportunity to buy interesting presents and curios to take home. We overnight in the MIDLANDS.

DAY 4: HOWICK TO ST. LUCIA (+- 400km)
HIGHLIGHTS: COASTAL ROUTE TO ST. LUCIA
Today we make our way along coastal roads and battlefields to ST. LUCIA. This little sea-side village lies within a world- heritage site that contains 5 diverse eco-systems. Here the animals roam the streets, and hippos, crocs and sharks live in the estuary. Time permitting, we will embark on a sunset cruise to view hippos frolicking and the lazy crocodiles sunbathing.

DAY 5 ST. LUCIA TO EZULWINI VALLEY, SWAZILAND (+-250km)
HIGHLIGHTS: DISCOVERING THE KINGDOM OF SWAZILAND
Following an early start we drive North to the kingdom of SWAZILAND. The landscape changes as we make our way up into the rolling hills of the EZULWINI valley, stopping in at the SWAZI CANDLE FACTORY, to see how beautiful African candles are molded by hand into lions, elephants, turtles and rhinos. Tonight you will be able to view spectacular rock formations (including Sheba’s Breast and Execution Rock) from the deck of the hotel which is based in the cultural hub of Swaziland with restaurants, nightclubs, craft markets, hot springs and the famous “cuddle puddle” all within close range.

DAY 6 EZULWINI VALLEY TO MAPUTO (+-400km)
HIGHLIGHTS: NGWENYA GLASS FACTORY, MUGUGA DAM, ARRIVE IN MOZAMBIQUE
Today we will explore Swaziland driving along scenic winding roads fringed by spectacular mountain scenery, interspersed with gorges and waterfalls. We will stop in at the NGWENA GLASS FACTORY AND MAGUGA DAM where we will stop to take in the fresh air and get some amazing photographs. From here we go on into Mozambique (passport and possibly visa required). We will be sleeping in Maputo- a typical African town with a Portuguese colonial feel…..our hotel accommodation overlooks the spectacular city lights.

DAY 7&8 TRANSFER TO INHACA ISLAND
HIGHLIGHTS: TROPICAL ISLAND PARADISE
Today we leave our motorcycles behind and are transferred to the Island of Inhaca- either by light aircraft or ferry. This tropical beach Island is home to 6000 people, who, as you will find, have an extremely colorful, laid back lifestyle. We will be staying at a beach hotel and the next day and a half can be spent at your leisure: snorkeling, fishing, water skiing, drinking tropical cocktails and eating delicious Portuguese style sea food- fresh off the fishing boats. The next day we catch a late afternoon flight/ferry back to Maputo where we will be based for another night. There are many interesting bars/ restaurants within close proximity to the hotel and the flame grilled Portuguese chicken is highly recommended.

DAY 9 MAPUTO TO HAZYVIEW (+-300km)
HIGHLIGHTS: RIDING THE LOWVELD ESCARPMENT
After Border Procedures we re-enter South Africa and make our way past sugar cane fields into the heart of Mpumalanga and the small town of Hazyview, which will be our home for the next 2 nights.

DAY 10 HAZYVIEW- PANORAMA ROUTE - HAZYVIEW(+-300km)
HIGHLIGHTS: EXPLORE THE HEART OF MPUMALANGA
Waterfalls, magical view sites (weather permitting) and Winding Mountain passes will make today one of the highlights of the tour - Gods Window- Berlin & Lisbon falls- Bourkes Lucke potholes- Animal Rehab centre etc. Tonight we visit the Shangaan Cultural Village where you will enjoy a truly African experience which includes dances and a traditional meal.

DAY 11 SAFARI INTO THE KRUGER NATIONAL PARK (0-20km)
HIGHLIGHTS: WILDLIFE SAFARI INTO KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Today we will bid goodbye to the motorcycles and board a game viewing Safari vehicle which will transport us into the Kruger National Park. This world famous wildlife reserve is home to the BIG 5 and is roughly the size of a small country. The vastness of the park allows ample opportunity to view wild animals in their natural habitat. We will have a full day to spot lions, elephants, birds and many different species of animals.

DAY 12. HAZYVIEW TO MAGOEBASKLOOF (+-350km)
HIGHLIGHTS: RAIN QUEENS, BAOBABS, MISTY MOUNTAINS
We make our way Northwards into the Limpopo province via the ABEL ERASMUS mountain pass into Tzaneen from where we will drive the RAIN QUEEN MEANDER traveling to the Tzaneen dam and the BIG BOABAB- the largest species of baobab in the world (45m diameter). This absolutely HUGE tree has a bar inside it. The route then takes us to the Modadji Rain Forest-sacred home to an African rain queen.

DAY 13 & 14 MAGOEBASKLOOF TO SUN CITY (+-400km)
HIGHLIGHTS: ESCAPE TO THE LOST CITY
Leaving rain queens and rainforests behind, we drive westwards via the scenic route to SUN CITY and the PILANESBERG nature reserve. Sun-City is a fantasy world that has been designed to resemble a Lost city In Africa. Highlights include a state of the art casino, entertainment in the form of shows and extravaganzas as well as a water world and much, much more. You will be based in Sun city for two nights. You will have a free day to explore all the glitz, glamour and wildlife. We fully recommend viewing the Big 5- Sol Kerzner style in an early morning hot-air balloon ride over the Pilansburg followed by a scrumptious champagne breakfast, or joining an elephant safari, where you will enjoy game viewing from a comfy position on top of these majestic animals.

DAY 15 SUN CITY TO PRETORIA (+-200km)
HIGHLIGHTS: FINAL RIDE THROUGH THE MAJESTIC MAGALIESBURG
Today we head homewards via the HARTEBEESTPOORT DAM to Pretoria. This route is a favorite of local bikers who enjoy breakfast runs out to the dam on weekends. The majestic Magaliesburg Mountain range is en-route and we will stop in at various craft shops so that you can get that last piece of Africa to take back home with you. Tonight we will celebrate the trip around a scrumptious African meal……
